Glam Rock Cardigan – This cardigan is perfect for the everyday wardrobe and partying. I’ve filled it with as much WOW-factor as possible – without overdoing it. Its super pretty with a very feminine fit and with an absolute Raw Feminism factor. The combination of glitter, mohair and paillettes is simply just WOW – regardless of age and body type.
The cardigan features a relatively tight fit – and it’s so soft and light. It’s worked in two strands: All edges are worked in a strand of Madeira Lamé with a strand of Isager Silk Mohair or an equivalent yarn. The yoke, body and sleeves are worked in one strand of Lammy Paillettes and one strand of Isager Silk Mohair or an equivalent yarn.

Construction and techniques:
The cardigan is worked top down. It features Tubular cast on and cast off, a twisted rib, short rows/German short rows, a round yoke with increases, raglan in the bottom part of the yoke, vertical colour shift, neat buttonholes, and DIY buttons.
Difficulty
Please watch the techniques. The difficulty is hard to define – if you master the applied techniques, it easy. In any case, I’ve tried to describe and explain the techniques to the best of my abilities as well as refer to tutorial videos.

Gauge
23 stitches = 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 1 strand of Mohair and 1 strand with paillettes on needles 3,5 mm.
As the cardigan is worked according to length, I haven’t given the gauge in rows. Measure your swatch flat on a hard surface, e.g., a table – if you measure the swatch on a soft surface the gauge may give a little.
Recommended needles
Circular needles:
• Circular needle 3,0 mm 80 cm for the ribbed hem by the neck, on the body and the sleeves.
• Circular needles 3,5 mm 80 cm for the body, sleeves, and the vertical ribbed edge.
Furthermore
• 14 stitch markers (I highly recommend pear-shaped safety pins) – possibly in another colour or use a small piece of scrap yarn to indicate the BoR-marker.
• 1 st wire
• 1 tapestry needle
• 7-10 buttons, 10 mm – preferably with ”eyes” – the buttons will be covered in glitter so feel free to use flat buttons
• Apieceofthinpaper/1A4sheet/apairofscissors/1coin(Ø25mm)
