Roses of Bornholm is a very feminine and romantic blouse with little roses and vertical stripes on all edges, a beautiful neckline with short rows and a feminine turtleneck.
The blouse is basically knitted with the super delicious Angora yarn from Mondial, but alternative yarn can also be used.
The blouse can by styled in so many ways and is so beautiful for both jeans, skirts and leather.
Worked in the round on circular needles 4 mm and with one strand of each colour – after the edge the blouse is worked in one colour. The sleeves are added to the body and the yoke is worked in the round with decreases evenly divided – though raglan decreases in the first 1-5 rounds. Vertical stripes in fair-isle technique, lace pattern and little roses in all edges.

Gauge
I have only stated the gauge in the width – in the pattern I state the length in centimeters, so row tension is secondary.
Edges in stripes:
20 stitches in circular needles 4 mm in stripes = 10 cm
Body, sleeves and yoke in stockinette:
18,5 stitches = 10 cm in stockinette using 1 strand of Angora on circular needles 4,0 mm before damp
18 stitches = 10 cm using 1 strand of Angora on circular needles 4,0 mm after damp (You do not have to damp – but the measurements for the blouse are stated after damp on the lowest damp function on your iron).
Needles
I recommend that you make a knitting sample before you start. If the gauge is not right and maybe you are knitting tight, then try with a bigger needle size, or is you are knitting loose try with a smaller needle size. I can recommend the ergonomic circular needles from Prym.
