New School contra Old School Here you have two very beautiful but basic slipovers in one pattern which can be styled with anything and worn by women of all ages and shapes. The back pieces on the slipovers up to the armholes are identical. Only the front piece is different, as you choose either a round or V-shaped neckline.

The slipovers are simple yet very feminine - the only “decoration” are the edges. The edges are knitted in a pretty basket weave pattern - a pattern that keeps its shape. The slipover is worked in a stockinette stitch from the bottom up, turning rows and joining the stitches on shoulders (back and front pieces).

Worked with one thread of Trio by Isager Yarn, one thread of Spinni by Isager Yarn and one thread of Silk Mohair by Isager Yarn - other yarn qualities can be used as long as gauge is obtained. The edges are worked with needles 6,0 mm and stockinette stitch on circular needles 5,00 mm. The hems are worked back and forth and sewed together on the sides. Edges at the arms and neckline are folded down and sewed onto the back side.

The three yarn qualities held together is luxurious; the Silk Mohair makes the slipover soft, Trio makes it airy and not too warm and Spinni gives it a great hold and binds the luxurious look together.

Difficulty
Skilled - the slipover requires a certain degree of skill (basket weave stitch is the most difficult). See info about techniques. The V-neck version is more difficult than the one with a round neck because you need to increase and decrease in the basket weave pattern.
