Der Berliner Sweater is a very simple long sleeve sweater - a version with a high turtleneck collar and a version with a lower turtleneck collar with a closing in the back and a flashy bling button. The combination of raglan, stockinette stitch and basket weave stitch on all edges and the turtleneck gives it a very feminine look. DerBerlinerSweater has a loose fit without being oversize and the basket weave stitch keeps the fit in place.
Der Berliner Sweater is really soft and light. It is knitted with one thread of Silk Mohar by Isager Yarn and one thread of Trio by Isager yarn - a really good combination if you want breathable knitwear. If you want a warmer version without mohair you can replace the thin thread of mohair with e.g. Alpaca 1 by Isager Yarn.
Der Berliner Sweater is worked from the bottom up. The hems are knitted back and forth, then the pieces on the body are joined and knitted in the round with German Short Rows until the turtleneck is knitted. The sleeves are worked in the round and the pieces are joined and the yoke is knitted in the round with raglan-decreases. The turtleneck is worked in a basket weave stitch back and forth.
Almost no seaming - only a small piece at the armhole, edges and turtleneck and weaving in ends. If you choose the version with the smaller turtleneck you also have to sew on a button on the collar and crochet a small edge.

The measurements for the sweater are only guidelines. The sweater has a loose, but not oversize fit, that makes it possible to wear it under a coat.
